Timers needed for Champs - we have many volunteers lined up for Champs, but we still need more timers. If you haven't already done
so, please contact Pete Satre (pete.satre@alliedmin.com) and let him know which day(s) you can help with timing. We need to supply a timer for 3 lanes on Saturday
and 2 lanes on Sunday. The more people who sign up to time, the shorter everyone's shifts will be.

Practices are MANDATORY. No exceptions. If this is a problem with your schedule, see Coach
Mike immediately so you can be removed from the zone team. Being on the zone team is a commitment for serious swimmers
only.

to participate in the Championship meets. Emails were sent to each family with your account balance.

League Championships are this weekend at OU! CHAMPS
PARKING NOTICE FOR OU AA CHAMPS
There
will be an OHSAA Basketball Tournament games at the Ohio University Convocation Center on both Saturday and Sunday of AA Champs.
Unfortunately, that means that OU parking staff will be out at the parking lots around the football stadium and pool charging
$5 for parking. This is a good time to remind everyone to park in a paved striped parking space -- expect more than
ever to be ticketed or towed. While the parking fee is an additional cost to the participants at the meet, that issue
is out of the control of the swim league.
LOST SUIT!
If you happened to find and pick up a girl’s team suit, size 28, on Sunday at Kenyon in the ladies’ restroom
near the swimmer camp area, please contact the Wile family (wile12@columbus.rr.com). ZONES 2010: There will be a dinner for Zones families on Saturday
March 20. It will be catered by a local barbeque restaurant. The cost per family will
be available later this week or early next week. The Staybridge Suites is located about 15 minutes from the pool and is close to movies, a Subway, and shopping.
“FAST SUITS”: Kast-a-Way
can still get “fast” suits in time for the rest of the season. If you are interested, stop
in or give them a call. The 20% discount for HURY swimmers will be applied. BANQUET:
March 31 6-8pm at Heritage Middle School. $5 per person with a maximum of $20 per family.
Checks should be made out to Hilliard YMCA Swim Team. We will be providing a gift to the coaches
from the team. If you would also like to provide a personal gift, please do so. 2010-2011
Parent Committee: We have some great candidates for Parent Committee next year. We are still looking for
a President. If you are interested, please contact Molly Dickmann (swim5@wowway.com) by March 9.

Calling all swimmers! Sign up
for the 14 mile Sea of Galilee Swim at the Hilliard YMCA. This event runs from January 31 - March 13, 2010. Imagine yourself
swimming from the point where the Jordan River enters into the sea to the point where the river exits the sea. Come to the
Hilliard YMCA to swim, and keep track of your yardage on the chart provided near the OSU therapy pool. All participants will
receive a swim cap, and those who complete the 14 mile distance within the six weeks will receive a swim cap and t-shirt.
Registration is $12 and begins January 24, 2010.

Winter Champs
will
be held at Ohio University in Athens on March 6 & 7, 2010. The Champs format will be different
than in years past.
- 10 & Under swimmers will swim on Saturday March 6 ONLY.
- Senior and 11 & Older swimmers can have events on both Saturday March
6 and Sunday March 7.
We have reserved a block of rooms at Holiday Inn Express for families who want to stay
over in Athens. When making reservations please say you’re with HURY YMCA Swim Team. The phone number is
740-592-4640. The rate is $105 per night plus tax.

WINTER 2010 ZONES INFORMATION It’s never too early to start thinking
about next year’s Zones Meet! The 2010 Zones Meet will be held at Bowling Green State University
on March 19-21, 2010. Due to the limited number of hotel rooms in the area, we have already reserved rooms
for our team at the Staybridge Suites in Maumee, OH. Maumee is approximately 15 minutes from Bowling Green.
If you believe that there is a chance that your swimmer will qualify for and attend Zones next year, please
reserve a room by June 30, 2009. You will still be able to make reservations after this date,
but we cannot stress enough that room reservations must be made as early as possible to ensure that there will be enough rooms

We will also be planning a team pizza dinner during Zones weekend for participating swimmers.
