Note about restroom usage during practice:

Please have your swimmer go to the bathroom BEFORE practice.  We have

a no bathroom policy during practice time.  Why do we have this policy?

·         Allowing kids to use the bathroom triggers an entire practice group to have to use the bathroom.

·         Kids figure out that using the bathroom = missed practice time.  And they always pick the hard practice sets to miss or what they don't want to do.

·         Kids disappear for an extended period of time and the coaches cannot monitor their absence.

What can you do?

If your child has a medical reason please see your child's swim coach.  Also, have your child SHOWER before practice .  If they stand in the shower for a minute, it should trigger them to use to bathroom.

Thanks for your cooperation.

What are test sets?  Test sets are a set of 5x50's on a long interval (4:00 min).  The goal is to see your test set times remain constant throughout each 50.  The goal for the season is to see the 50's decrease in time, while remaining constant.  For example:  35.7, 35.7, 35.7, 35.7, 35.7 is optimal; while 35.7, 36.8, 37.8,38.1, 40.0 needs improvement.

Test sets are designed to monitor a swimmers endurance and performance throughout the season, and they are not announced.
